“Overcomers By Faith Ministry”

Picture to the right, is Amanda Clark Davis and her then, young son Lucas. Amanda is the founder of Overcomers Ministry. She began this ministry in 1998, as a cancer support group to cancer victims and their caregivers. When she began this ministry, I Jennie, was led of the Lord to be her helper. Little did I know that on October 01, 1999 Amanda would move to heaven. This left the ministry open, as she had left behind a husband and a small son. In the October 1999 support group meeting, her husband asked any of the group members if they were led to take over this ministry. Rusty and I just knew, by the prompting of Holy Spirit, that we were to fill this position. This started our part of this ministry. So, as of October 1999 we began to hold the cancer support group meetings. If you are reading this, then you are aware that cancer victims cannot be around colds, viruses, flu and germs. Thus, it made it very hard to hold meetings. That’s when we prayed about what to do. We were led to mail out postcard Devotionals, monthly to those on our members list. We also began to go to the homes and pray with the people. Over the years, Abba God began to make more changes. We were lead to only mail out what Holy Spirit prompted us to mail. Thus, we no longer do Postcard Devotionals to everyone on our members list. Among other changes was the Ordaining to the Ministry, and receiving our Incorporation to a Nonprofit Cooperation! All Glory to our God!!! At this time our Ministry name changed to Overcomers By Faith Ministry in September of 2008. As of now, we mail out Healing Messages, Books, CD's, and cards as Holy Spirit leads. We go to hospitals and homes to pray. You can contact us for prayer at any time. There are many people fighting to “Overcome” this dreadful disease. BUT GOD- Who is rich in mercy, will help us to do what He has called us to do! He would also have it that NONE should PERISH. The word says, “Truly I tell you, whoever says to this mountain (cancer, because Jesus is the name above ALL names, Philippians 2:9 ), Be lifted up and thrown into the sea! And does not doubt at all in his heart but believes that what he says will take place, it will be done for him.” “For this reason I am telling you whatever you ask for in prayer, believe (trust and be confident) that it is granted to you, and you will (get it).” Mark 11:23, 24. May these scriptures remind you to BELIEVE what the Word of God says, and it says, we will live and not die, and declare the works of the Lord! (Psalm 118:17) In Jesus, we are more than conquers! Praise God! If Jesus be for us, who can be against us, especially not Satan! For we know John 10:10 says, “Satan comes to steal, kill, and destroy, but Jesus came that we might have life, and that life more abundant.” Beloved, stand firm in your faith. Keep thinking good thoughts. “…whatever things are true, whatever things are noble, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report, if there is any virtue and if there is anything praiseworthy—meditate on these things.
